Media provenance as a design primitive

Why original, licensed, reference, and restricted media must be visible in the system model.

The media layer is not decoration

Moonweave AI uses strong visual identity, but every image, sound, and generated asset needs a source story. The design system therefore treats provenance as interface data, not as legal text hidden in a footer.

Four media states

Original assets can be published directly with creator metadata. Licensed assets require license and usage scope. Reference assets can be linked without being copied into the site. Restricted assets stay out of the published interface.

Design implication

Media badges, alt text, and collection metadata should be generated from the same source record so the public page cannot drift away from its rights boundary.
